Dana Ray Dotson, MD

I receive great satisfaction from helping other people find fulfillment in their careers, health, and spiritual lives. I desire to foster a mindset that explores possibilities and develops a strategy for bringing those possibilities into reality.

As part of my coaching, women will experience an emphasis on prioritizing personal growth and leadership development by focusing on themselves.  As women, we take care of everyone else and put everyone else’s needs and priorities above our own. My focus is on helping you discover what is important to you and how to make it a reality.  Whether you are a physician, a working mom starting her career, or a senior executive, I understand the unique challenges of having multiple roles and will provide unwavering support to those in similar situations.

My Story

The motto I have lived by most of my adult life is “adapt and overcome.”  I learned this saying while I was in the Army Reserves.  This mindset was integral to completing my medical degree and becoming a family medicine physician.  During my career, I became the Chief Medical Officer of a Federally Qualified Health Center providing quality medical care to a medically underserved population.  Witnessing the social stigma individuals with a substance use disorder experience, I also became board-certified in Addiction Medicine. After many years in this role, I am now the owner of a direct primary clinic, which allows me the ability to reallocate time for what is important to me.  In addition to my medical training, I have completed training as an executive coach, allowing me to expand services for leadership coaching to C-suite executives and physicians.

My commitment to making a difference extends beyond the medical field and executive coaching.  I have dedicated my time and skills to serving my community through leadership roles in local government, not-for-profit boards, and as a spiritual leader in my community church.  I believe in the saying, 'Be the change you want to see in the world, 'and I strive to embody this principle in all aspects of my life.

If you are an executive or a physician seeking to enhance your leadership skills, I am eager to support you on the path to success. My goal is to help you achieve the personal balance and growth you desire, and I am excited to embark on this journey with you.
